Description

What is coding? In simple terms Coding can be defined as writing instructions for computers and other hardware. The computer is then able to read the instructions (called “programs”) and do what you have asked it to do. Computer language is different from human language.

Why study coding?

Coding tests a variety of abilities. It hones problem-solving and analysis skills, such as finding errors and thinking logically. Further, coding often helps people develop teamwork and interpersonal skills since software and application projects are often cross-disciplinary and collaborative.

When you are coding, you get this feeling that you are helping people. Through coding you can create something that people interact with, use, touch and work with. When you manage to build something that solves problems, you know that you are making a difference in someone else's life. That is an amazing feeling.

This MQL5coding course, Algorithmic Trading in MQL5: OOP & PO, is structured in three parts.

In the first part we will focus on coding object-oriented programming in MQL5. We will cover the theory while maintaining a practical approach.

In the second part we will take the expert advisor that we built in the previous course, and we will rebuild that robot with classes and objects of our own. In case that you did not complete the previous course, there is a copy of that expert advisor available for download, so you can follow along with the lectures.

Finally, in the third part we will enhance our classes with methods to work with pending orders and then create a new version of our Expert Advisor that works with them. After this section, you will have a second robot that will be able to send, modify, set the expiration time, and cancel pending orders.

Is this course for me?

This course is an intermediate level course. It is not appropriate for beginners as we will not cover the basics of the MQL5 language. Beginners should take instead “Algorithmic Trading In MQL5: Code Robots & Free Up Your Time”.

However, if you took the time to complete the previous course, or you have basic knowledge of MQL5, then you are ready to take this course.

I am confident that you will find great value on all the knowledge and techniques shared in this course.

If you like the program and if you are interested in improving your MQL5 skills and your trading robots, then wait no more! This course is for you!

The different expert advisors and files coded during the course will be provided to you at the end of the course.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
